Each Christmas is full of bright colors
As the trimmings around us are spread.
There's white, gold, brown, silver and yellow.
There's the green and the blue and the red.
The colors alone are so pretty
As each ornament enters our view.
If we let each remind us of Christmas,
There is certainly more they can do.
The brown cries "Remember the stable
And the manger where Christ lay His head."
The yellow responds, "Please remember
The fresh straw that was used for His bed."
The silver and white sing together
Of the stars and the angels so bright
Who sang to the shepherds below them
Of the Babe born in Bethl'hem that night.
The gold is a vivid reminder
Of the presents the magi did bring
To Jesus and when they had found Him
They bowed down and acknowledged Him King.
The red softly speaks of the Garden
Of Gethsemane where all alone
The Savior sweat blood from each pore as
For our sins He suffered to atone.
The green is the color of living.
It reminds us Christ rose from the grave,
Through dying and then resurrecting.
All mankind from death's hold he did save.
And finally the blue shares a picture--
His ascending up into the sky.
It reminds us of his second coming
Which according to scripture is nigh.
Yes, Christmas is full of bright colors.
There's the green and the blue and the red.
There's white, gold, brown, silver, and yellow
And through them Christmas joy can be spread.
